Originally from Marseille, France, Stephanie grew up in a bi-cultural household. She moved to the U.S. in 1997, graduating from Brandeis University (B.A., 2001) and Northeastern School of Law (J.D., 2005). Admitted to the New York Bar in 2006, she gained experience interning at firms like Coudert Frères and clerking for Justice Ramos in New York’s Commercial Division.
Stephanie worked on commercial transactions and in employment law at New York firms before becoming in-house counsel in 2011. In 2020, she founded the Messas Law Practice, focusing on American subsidiaries of foreign companies. Stephanie is also a certified yoga instructor and board member of the French American Chamber of Commerce NY.

Alastair Mecke joined the Messas Law Practice in November 2025 and brings an internationally minded perspective and creative industry expertise to Messas Law Practice. Born and raised in Paris, France, Alastair relocated to New York City in 2012, where she completed her high school education before pursuing higher studies.
Alastair graduated from Chapman University in 2020, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in French and Creative Producing. Her academic foundation in both language and media production provided her with exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of creative industries.
Following graduation, Alastair joined NBC in New York, where she developed extensive experience in media operations and communications. This background gives her unique insight into the entertainment and media sectors, making her particularly valuable for clients in creative industries.
Alastair earned her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2025 and successfully passed the July 2025 New York State Bar Exam. Her multicultural background, fluency in French, and hands-on experience in both creative and legal fields enable her to provide comprehensive assistance to clients navigating complex legal matters.
