Firm News: Exploring the 21st Annual Small Law Firm Symposium

On November 14th, the Messas Law Practice was honored to help put together and participate in the organization of the 21st Annual Small Law Firm Symposium.  The small firm community was buzzing as the Symposium once again proved to be a day filled with education, networking, and invaluable resources tailored specifically for solo practitioners and small law firms. This event is a hub for legal professionals seeking to enhance their practice, earn CLE credits, and explore the latest trends and innovations in the field.

A Day of Learning and Connection

Attendees could earn up to 4 CLE credits, covering essential topics such as ethics, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), cybersecurity, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal industry. Participants can choose from a variety of sessions designed to provide strategic insights and practical guidance.

Spotlight on Navigating Sensitive Topics in the Workplace

We are thrilled to highlight our firm’s participation alongside distinguished colleagues, Rachel Gupta (Gupta Dispute Resolutions LLC), Rachel Haskell (Working Solutions Law Firm), and Nydia Shahjahan (Nydia Shahjahan, Esq. P.C)., in the this special seminar which delved into the complexities of navigating sensitive topics such as political viewpoints, islamophobia, antisemitism, and global conflicts like the Israeli Palestinian conflict within workplace dialogues.

As our practice has observed firsthand the changing employment scenery with our clients, this session was particularly relevant in our increasingly diverse and interconnected world, where understanding and addressing sensitive issues is crucial for fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment.  Participants gained practical insights and frameworks that they can implement in their own practices and offer to their clients, ensuring they are prepared to address these issues thoughtfully and effectively.  Feel free to contact us to obtain more information about such strategies.

The 22nd Annual Small Law Firm Symposium

The Messas Law Practice is also pleased to announce that Stephanie Messas will spearhead the organization of the 22nd Annual Small Law Firm Symposium in 2025.  If you are a solo or small firm practitioner, we hope that you will join us next year to learn, network, and empower your legal practice for the future.  We look forward to seeing you there and joining the conversation on these critical topics.
